Bogacki Continues Recent Hot Streak, Claims Huntsville Mega Bucks Win!
Huntsville, AL: Twenty-five year old Luke Bogacki has enjoyed a very successful career in sportsman drag racing. The young Alabama resident is a former NHRA, IHRA, B&M Series, and DragRaceResults.com series division champion, in addition to claiming yearlong titles along the Tenn-Tuck Triple Crown and Southern Super Tens Series. He may never, however, have enjoyed a continued run of success like he has over the last four weeks.
Bogacki drove his American Race Cars built Patriot Series Swing Arm Dragster to a $7,500 victory Saturday night at Huntsville Dragways Mega Bucks series, defeating Tracy Sons DragRaceResults.com backed dragster in the final round. There, Bogacki used a .004 reaction to narrowly hold off Sons in a double breakout decision. Bogacki ran 4.878 on his 4.88 dial, while Sons followed with a .015 reaction, and 4.847 on his 4.85. On his way to victory, Bogacki stopped perennial big dollar winners Cliff Shipp, Shane Carr, Mike Smith, and more.
Bogackis current run started on Mothers Day weekend at the Southern Survival Shootout at Music City Raceway, where he drove his Mickey Thompson Tires backed Vega to a $2,000 Footbrake victory. The following weekend, he flew to Reading, PA where he drove Chris Reynolds machine to a $5,000 title along the DragRaceResults.com bracket series. Next up, Bogacki made the haul to Gateway International Raceway, where he fell to Shane Carr in the final of Saturdays $10,000 main event at the wheel of his American Dragster. After a long ride home from St. Louis, Bogacki pulled into his home track, Sand Mountain Dragway for Mondays Memorial Day Meltdown, where he drove his Vega to a Footbrake victory! Five short days later, Bogacki once again visited the winners circle at Huntsville.
All told, Bogacki has amassed four wins, a runner-up, three semi-final finishes, and two quarterfinals... In the last four weekends!
I dont know if Ive ever experienced this type of success all run together, explained Bogacki. I used to win a lot--to the point where I probably took it for granted. To struggle through a season like last year makes me appreciate this a lot more. Youre just not supposed to win week after week. Its amazing how things just fall into place when youre on a roll like this. Sometimes it doesnt matter how much you screw up, the win light just keeps coming on. Its just the opposite of last season: cause no matter what I did, my opponent did something better!
Bogacki credited Mark Horton, Travis Colangelo, and the staff at American Race Cars. Mark and Travis have been awesome to work with, and Im so happy with my American Car. Ive already got another on order!
In addition to American Race Cars, Bogacki credited a long list of marketing partners for their role in his recent success. The first step to winning races is having 100% confidence in your equipment. Right now, between the dragster and the Vega, Ive got two awesome race cars, which is a testament to every piece that bolts on between the frame rails. Key components include powerglide transmissions and torque converters from Bill Taylor Engineering, power from Huntsville Engine and Performance Center, Mickey Thompson Tires and Wheels, and Advanced Product Design Carburetors and Fuel Systems. Additionally, Bogacki thanked K&R Performance Engineering, Brodix Cylinder Heads, M2 Race Systems, Dixie Performance Products, Auto Meter, AFCO Drag Racing, Milodon, Hedman Hedders, TD Performance Products, NitroPlate, Goza Racing Products, Rockett Brand Race Fuel, DragRaceResults.com, J.W. Performance, and Bogacki Marketing Solutions.
