Article Title: Teenage Sensation Emily Lewis Kicks 2006 Season Of Article Date: 1/18/2006 Article: Bradenton, FL: Nineteen-year-old Emily Lewis dominated competition at last weekends Bracket Kickoff Combo at Bradenton Motorpsorts Park. Emily, a sophomore at Manatee County Community College, drove her 2006 Rev-x-treme backed Mullis/Forrester dragster to a win in the $2,500 Top ET class to start the day. She followed up that performance with a Runner-Up to former Million Dollar Race finalist and perennial big dollar hitter Claude DeBonis in the second race, a $5,000-to-win event. In all, Emily wheeled her dragster to an amazing record on the day (after a buy back in each event, Emily compiled a 13-3 tally), driving her way past several older, more experienced competitors throughout the event.

But, success behind the wheel is nothing new to this teenage beauty. Emily has been defying the odds since her initial ride down the race track in Junior Dragsters at 13 years of age. In the years since, she has picked up numerous victories including the IHRA Division 2 Junior Dragster Race of Champions title in 2002, a $10,000 win along the annual Florida Winter Series in 2004, and a $5,000 DragRaceResults.com Bracket Series triumph in 2005.
What an awesome day, exclaimed Emily following her back-to-back final round appearances. I cant imagine a better way to start the year. This new Mullis/Forrester Dragster has been awesome from the first run, I couldnt ask for a better race car. With our Brodix all aluminum 555, the car ran 4.71 every pass during the day. When the sun went down the track got pretty slick, but our car was still perfect. It hovered right around 4.73 all night. Weve really got a good combination right now, and this Rev-x-treme car sure looks good in the winners circle. Hopefully well put it back there real soon!
In addition to Rev-x-treme and Mullis Race Cars by Forrester, Emily was quick to credit her growing list of marketing partners: Ive got to thank all the folks at CSR Performance Products, Borla Exhaust, Advanced Product Design, Brodix Cylinder Heads, Aerospace Components, Goodyear Tire & Rubber, and Jegs Mail Order for all their help, along with my parents. Without their support, none of this would be possible.
